Ms. Tina Divjak

Short Biography

Tina is the Head of Advocacy at CNVOS. She has been working on different issues of NGO development in Slovenia from 2003. Starting at Legal Informational Centre for NGOs Slovenia with comparative analysis and national reports on NGO legislation, public benefit status and cooperation between NGOs and the Government; legal initiatives; development of environmental NGO public participation program and continuing as senior legal advisor at CNVOS she authored or participated in drafting of the Law on Voluntarism, Law on Associations, Law on Foundations, Law on Social Entrepreneurship, etc. Her advocacy activities in relation to legislation cover also lobbying and NGO coalition building. In 2009 and 2010 she was a project manager of a successful project Mirror to the Government, monitoring the inclusion of NGOs in the decision-making process.

She is a president of the Government's Council for development of NGOs, Government's expert and advisory body for the questions of development of NGOs and voluntarism.

Another important aspect of her work is NGO governance. As one of the authors of the Slovenian NGO Quality Assurance System and qualified auditor for the NGO QAS she now works as its programme manager (further development, promotion, etc.).
