The Centre for eGovernance Development for South East Europe (CeGD) provides programmes, training support and knowledge necessary for the successful development of Information Society in South East Europe (SEE)

Centre for eGovernance Development for SEE (CeGD) was established in January 2008 when six stakeholders (Regional Cooperation Council -RCC, Government of the Republic of Slovenia, European Foundation, UNDP, INA Academy and SRC.SI d,o.o) and two recognized partners (Microsoft and Siemens) signed the Memorandum of understanding on the establishment of CeGD. One of the primary objectives of the CeGD is to support to the eGovernance programs of the participants in the Stability Pact’s eSEE and bSEE initiatives with a single regional coordination point and a network of programs and training nodes. www.eseeinitiative.org

CeGD was established in order to address training, educational, consulting and research related issues to eGovernance throughout the SEE region.

Activities as response to the needs of the SEE region

The CeGD structures its' activities into three general clusters:

  • CeGD Knowledge Platform is the basic tool for the transfer of knowledge and addresses the issues and needs of the SEE region.
  • CeGO eGovernance Academy as an organizational umbrella provides' training opportunities (seminars, workshops, trainings) for different target groups from the SEE region and develops contemporary curriculums according to the 7 ePillars Model.
  • CeGD Projects support regional eGovernance programs by delivering specific services and programs.
